Maldonfox guarantees your puppy to be in good health and free of disease at the time he leaves our home. The buyer/s agree to take their new puppy to a veterinarian of their choice within 72 hours of purchase or delivery for a health check by their veterinarian. If the puppy is found to be in ill health or to have a debilitating congenital defect at the time of this visit, the buyer may return the puppy, along with a written diagnosis from the Veterinarian, to the breeder for replacement with next available puppy of equal value or greater value if the buyer pays the difference. Your puppy is also guaranteed for a period of one year against Leggs-Perthes, Von Willebrands Disease and Progressive Retinal Atrophy. Should the puppy develop one of these health problems within one year from the date of sale, the buyer may return the puppy, along with a written diagnosis from their veterinarian for a replacement. Should the puppy die from a suspected genetic abnormality during this year, an autopsy must be performed by a licensed veterinarian at the buyer’s expense to verify the cause of death. If it is determined that a congenital or hereditary defect caused death, the buyer will receive a replacement puppy of equal value or greater value, if the buyer pays the difference, from the next available litter. It is a requirement of this health guarantee that the new owner has their puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of purchase or delivery. Failure to do so will void the health guarantee. The reason for this requirement is that a puppy can be stressed by shipping, changing diets, exposure to strange dogs, and other factors involved in adjusting to a new home. These are things we can’t control once a puppy leaves our home. Our goal at Maldonfox is to breed beautiful, healthy and sound Toy Fox Terriers with outstanding temperament.
